The Old Vicarage provides beautiful Country Guest House accommodation, as well as a luxury self catering holiday cottage, set in over an acre of
secluded gardens. Nestled in the hills above the magnificent Dovedale and Manifold valleys
in the heart of the Peak District National Park, Derbyshire, we are the perfect location
for exploring this stunning area including cycling on the Manifold Trail, Tissington Trail
and High Peak Trail. Approached by a long gravelled driveway and surrounded by ancient
trees, The Old Vicarage (built in 1842 by the The Duke of Devonshire as part of the
Chatsworth Estate), is the most peaceful and idyllic Derbyshire location for a relaxing
break away. Soak up the warm relaxed atmosphere of this beautiful cosy home and B&B which we have lovingly and carefully restored to a luxurious standard. Stroll around the beautiful landscaped gardens, sit out and relax on the lawns (formerly the village tennis courts) and watch the wonderful bird life or for the more energetic how about a game of croquet? Or in those crisp clear winter months relax with a cup of tea by a roaring fire in our Bed & Breakfast guest lounge. For those who need to access the 'outside world' we also offer FREE WIFI and all our rooms have digital TV with Freeview. Simply unwind and enjoy the peace and tranquillity of this perfect retreat. |

Only 2 minutes stroll from the house we have a great cosy village pub, The Royal Oak, where Janet and Brian will be happy to serve you from a superb selection of real ales and where you can enjoy a hearty meal from a real country pub menu. All our rooms in the B and B have wonderful views across the
gardens to the lush rolling hills beyond. They are all beautifully decorated and furnished
with great care and attention to detail to provide everything you need to enjoy your stay.
We have Double, King size and a fantastic Super-king size room which can convert to a
twin. Two of our rooms have wonderful power showers - a welcome treat after a hard days
walking or cycling! Check out our luxury self-catering Holiday Cottage 'The Little Vicarage' sleeping 4 providing a beautiful base for a great holiday. Prices range from £39-£42 per person per night based on 2 people sharing for a 2 night stay. Discounts may be available for longer stays. Many of our guests tell us we have created a wonderfully relaxed and warm atmosphere where you can truly make yourself at home, put your feet up, and really unwind in the peace and beauty of this magnificent countryside. Throughout the year we have great Bed and Breakfast special offers and are happy to negotiate discounts for larger groups or longer stays. |

After a peaceful nights sleep, wake up to the aroma of Nicky’s freshly baked breads served with a multitude of homemade jams and sit down to a hearty farmhouse breakfast freshly grilled to order using the finest ingredients, all served with fresh fruit salad, yoghurts, cereals and all the trimming!
